Kobs, Ella (1904? – 19 JAN 1966)
Mrs. Hug (Ella) Kobs, age 61, died at St. joseph’s Hospital, Jan. 19, 1966 at 10
p.m. She was the former Ella Klessig. She attended the public schools here. Her
marriage to Hugo Kobs, who preceded her in death in 1959, took place Oct. 20,
1924 at Curtiss.
The couple farmed at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) until 1931. They then operated a
cheese factory at Granton until 1946. They returned to Curtiss and farmed until
1950, when they moved to Milwaukee.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth, Marshfield and John H. of Milwaukee, and
seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Alma) Marquardt, Chicago, Ill.;
Mrs. Albert (Dorothy) Mandel, Colby; four brothers, Albert Klessig, Curtiss; Wm.
Klessig, Owen; and Harold and Ray Klessig, Colby. One brother preceded her in
death.
She had resided in Marshfield since 1962 and was a member of Faith Lutheran
Church, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held there Saturday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Walter
Schultheiss officiating, and burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Milwaukee.

Middle name is Ida and her full birth date is 13 Aug 1904. She is on the tail end of my Klessig Family Group, originally from Town Centerville, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.
