Ervin Koerner, who spent the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays at the Fred Laabs
home and visited other relatives in this area, returned to his home in Ripon
last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Schraufnagel, Tomah, were weekend guests at the home of her
mother, Mrs. Mary Fahrenbach.
The Misses Emma and Mabel Larson, Abbotsford, were guests at the Albert Bakke
and Arthur Thompson home Saturday.
Mrs. Sherman Long Sr. left for Manitowoc Saturday where she will visit at the
home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long Jr. and family, and her sister and
brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Olson.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Singstock, who spent the past two weeks at the home of their
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Landen and family at Madison,
returned to their home Sunday evening.
Mrs. Lloyd Haemer and daughter, Pearl, and Martha Buss attended the funeral
services for Mrs. Ella Kobs.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Laabs spent Sunday visiting her mother, Mrs. Emma Eide at
Chili.
Mrs. Elizabeth Buss attended the commencement at Stout State University at
Menomonie Friday, Jan. 21.
Her granddaughter, Elizabeth Schreider of Ladysmith, was a member of the
dietetics class. She will be employed at the Milwaukee County Hospital after
Feb. 7. Other relatives who attended the graduation were Mrs. Lloyd Haemer and
daughter, Pearl, Mrs. Henry Buss, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Hill, Jim and Rachel.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Long of Stanley were Sunday evening guests at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lien.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz were guests at the Kenneth Knutson home in Granton
on Sunday.
Mrs. Lily Wilson of Lake Forest, Ill., was a guest last week at the home of her
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schultz. She also visited with her mother, Mrs.
Selma Mattila, a patient, at the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen. She returned to her
home Saturday.
Tuesday evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Augustine were her
aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Huebnerfuss and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon
Huebnerfuss, Wausau.
