Edward Miller, principal of the Owen-Withee school system, Monday announced that
Sharon Heideman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Heideman, Withee (Clark Co.,
Wis.), is the 1966 recipient of the D.A.R. Award.
During her high school career Sharon has been active in band 1, 2, 3 and 4;
competed in the district solo and ensemble contests all four years; was a
finalist in the state solo and ensemble contest in her sophomore year; took part
in forensics during her freshman, sophomore and junior years; was a member of
the pep club 2, 3 and 4; has served on the annual staff during her junior and
senior years, and this year is co-editor; competed in county math finals in her
freshman and sophomore years; was O-W Badger State Representative last year and
was secretary-treasurer of her class in her sophomore year.
Outside of school activities she serves as a Sunday school teacher and part time
organist at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, in addition to being secretary
of the Walther league.
