Pvt. Jerome A. Untiedt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry G. Untiedt, Curtiss (Clark
Co., Wis.), completed a 10 week power generation course at the army engineer
school, Ft. Belvoir, Va., Feb 4, 1966.
Untiedt was trained in the operation and maintenance of hand and power tools,
gasoline and diesel engines, and electric generators. He also received
instruction in the operation of gas turbine and diesel generators.
Graduates of the course are qualified power plant operator mechanics.
The 21-year-old soldier entered the army in September 1965 and completed basic
combat training at Ft. Knox, Ky.
He attended Colby High School.
