Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thess and Mrs. Anna Tonn attended the Mass and golden
wedding celebration at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Sunday, given in honor
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mauel Sr. 50th wedding anniversary.
Lionel Schiszik was admitted to River Pine Sanitarium, Stevens Point, Saturday
for tests and observation. Lyle Johnson took him there, where he will be for an
indefinite time.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Schaus and family of Kaukauna were weekend guests at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Johnson. They also visited Mr. Schaus’ mother
at Medford Memorial Hospital, where she is hospitalized with a broken hip. Mrs.
Lyle Johnson and Mrs. Jacob called on her Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Earl Schiszik spent several days last week at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield, She had the cast removed from her fracture leg and was replaced with
a walking cast. She returned home Saturday and is able to walk around with the
help of a cane.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Premeau of Marshfield were Saturday guests at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fahrenbach. On Sunday they all drove to Stevens
Point to be guests at the home of their other daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Gene
Zender.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Zelinski of Bruce were weekend guests at the home of her brother
and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Lokken. They also visited their cousin,
Mrs. Anna Peterson.
Mae Skidmore is a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she was
taken by ambulance Sunday, Feb. 27.
Mrs. Carla Lien, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lipprandt
attended funeral services for Wm. Wagner at Thorp Friday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Basil
Prather, Nekoosa.
A large crowd attended the pancake and sausage supper sponsored by the Curtiss
Boy Scouts at the parish hall Saturday evening.
Mrs. Frances Degnitz of Marshfield is a guest this week at the home of her son
and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Degnitz.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Grube and Mrs. Anna Lipprandt left for Des Plaines, Ill.
Saturday to attend the baptism Sunday of their grandson and great-grandson, the
child of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Grube.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Steinke of Colby were Sunday callers at the home of Mrs. Mary
Fahrenbach and the Harvey Witt home.
Mrs. Ida Schiszik, Eda and Roy Ostenson were Sunday dinner guests at the home of
Mrs. Carla Lien.
