Pawlowski, Phyllis M. (Krueger) (14 JAN 1948 - 2 MAY 2015)
Phyllis M. Pawlowski, 67, Athens, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the town of
Johnson as a result of an accident.
She was born January 14, 1948 in Wausau, daughter of the late Harvey and Viola
(Reimer) Krueger. On September 6, 1969, she married David Pawlowski at St.
Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He survives.
Phyllis was currently working at Marathon Cheese Corp., where she had been
employed since 1967. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed attending the
Hodag Country Music Festival, sitting around the campfire, taking long walks and
the companionship of her cats, "Oriole" and "Ginger". She also enjoyed bowling,
vegetable gardening, reading, stamping, baking and working at the Trinity food
stand. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her
grandchildren. Phyllis was a selfless person and always thought of others before
herself. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Survivors include, her husband, David Pawlowski, Athens; two children, Suzette
(David) Zillmer, Athens and Michael (Tina) Pawlowski, Stratford; five
grandchildren, Brittany and Dakota Zillmer, Joshua and AmberLee Johnson and
Bailey Pawlowski; one great-grandson, Jayce Petri; her step-mother, Lavila
Krueger, Rib Falls; two brothers, Elroy Krueger, Rib Falls and Merlin (Patsy)
Krueger, Athens; her mother-in-law, Annabelle Pawlowski, Athens; three
sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Dale) Rauen, Edgar, Sharon (Daniel) Westfall, Athens
and Linda (Michael) Kloth, Medford; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, LaVern Krueger;
one nephew, Travis Westfall; and her father-in-law, Florian Pawlowski.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Trinity
Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Jeffrey Lambrecht will officiate. Friends may call
on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens
and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
