Bergemann, Martha W. (9 July 1926 - 5 May 2015)

Martha W. Bergemann, 88, of Neillsville died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Martha W. Erpenbach was born July 9, 1926, the daughter of Tony and Margaret (Yndogliato) Erpenbach, at the home in the Town of Weston. She attended Riverside Rural School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1943. She then attended the Business School of Milwaukee and graduated in 1944. She was united in marriage to John R. Bergemann April 16, 1945. Martha worked as a secretary for the ASCS office. She also loved to do needlework, put puzzles together and read. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville.

She is survived by her children, John A. Bergemann of Waxahachie, TX, Tom G. Bergemann of Park Falls, Eileen A. (John) Bergemann-Pike of Lakewood, CO, and Jean M. (Keith) Short of Wautoma; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Bill Erpenbach and Donald Erpenbach, both of Neillsville.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two grandchildren, Tony and Amy.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph officiated. Interment was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
