Perushek, Jeanette Gertrude (26 November 1929 - 8 May 2015)
Jeanette G. Perushek, 85, of Neillsville died Friday, May 8, 2015, at the
Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Jeanette Gertrude Carl was born Nov. 26, 1929, in Neillsville, the daughter of
Gustave and Lillian (Dux) Carl. She attended the pine Valley Mound School as a
child and then graduated from Neillsville High School in 1947. She went to work
as a secretary at the Neillsville Milk Products and then started what would be a
long career in waitressing at the Neillsville Dairy Bar and eventually at the
White horse, which she would do for 35 years.
June 22, 1950, she was united in marriage to Anthony Perushek. Jeanette was
wonderful at cooking and baking and her holiday meals will truly be missed. She
was known for her cheerful smile, easygoing personality and wonderful sense of
humor. She loved spending time with family. Jeanette especially enjoyed spending
time with her three grandchildren and more recently her great-grandchildren. She
was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville and PCCW’s St. Agnes
Circle.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Tony; a son, John (Tamara) Perushek of
Neillsville; a daughter, Patricia Perushek of Eau Claire; three grandchildren,
Jessica (Joe) Placek of Kaukauna, Ashley Perushek of Grand Chute, and Benjamin
Perushek of Neillsville; and two great-grandchildren, Easton and Emmalyn. He is
also survived by sisters, Eileen Berg of Fresno, CA, and Evelyn Mitte of
Neillsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Perushek; a brother,
Herman Carl; and a sister, Florence Volp.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13,
2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will
officiate. Providing music will be St. Mary’s Choir and organist, Vicente
Cortez. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday morning
prior to the service at St. Mary’s.
Serving as honorary casketbearers are her grandchildren.
