Caldwell, Delores A. (16 SEP 1937 – 15 MAY 2015)
Delores A. Caldwell, Age 77 of Marshfield formerly of Spencer, passed away on
Friday, May 15, 2015 surrounded by her family at the Marshfield Care Center
under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Life Tributes
Funeral Home in Spencer. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Burial will follow
in West Spencer Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the
funeral home on Monday from 4PM until 8PM and again on Tuesday at the funeral
home from 10AM until time of service. The honor of pallbearer belongs to: Dan
Caldwell, Cedric Boe, Dennis Weaver, Eric Weaver, Ray Weaver and Michael
Steltenpohl, II. The honorary pallbearers are April Lucas and Steve Caldwell.
Delores was born September 16, 1937 in Stanley to Arthur and Vilas (Haas)
Hanson. She attended Brighton country school and graduated from Spencer High
School. Delores was united in marriage to Charles Caldwell on November 9, 1957.
Together Delores and Charles raised six children. The couple resided for a time
in Pennsylvania and Indiana before settling in Spencer. Delores retired from
Land O' Lakes in Spencer in 1999.
Her hobbies included playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and word finds. She also
enjoyed camping and watching "her birds." Her grandchildren will always remember
her "famous lasagna."
Survivors include her five children: Brian (Judy) Caldwell of Marshfield, Cheryl
Caldwell of Phillips, Elaine (Pat) Ward of Arpin, Cindy Caldwell of Spencer and
Deb (Mike) Steltenpohl of Marshfield; eight grandchildren: Dan, April, Steve,
Dennis, Eric, Ray, Cedric and Michael and six great-grandchildren: Aidan, Liv,
Matik, Finley, Madeline, Charlotte and a future grandchild due in August.
Delores is further survived by five brothers: Donny (Karin) Hanson, Duane
(Arlene) Hanson, Dean (Paula) Hanson and David (Marlene) Hanson along with
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents Art and Vilas, her husband Chuck, a
daughter Dawn and a sister Diane.
