Gaulke, Otto (13 November 1883 - 18 October 1973)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christ Lutheran Church,
Chili, for Otto Gaulke, 89, who died October 18 at his home in Chili. The Rev.
Roland Roehrs officiated and burial was made in the Yolo Cemetery. The
Gilbertson Funeral Home at Granton was in charge of arrangements.
Born November 13, 1883, at Milwaukee, and educated in schools there, Mr. Gaulke
was married to the former Clara Franke on September 30, 1911, in Milwaukee. The
Gaulkes moved to a farm in the Town of Fremont in 1914. The the past 19 years
they lived in Chili. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons: Clarence of Milwaukee,
Edwin of Waylan, Mi., and Warren of Green Bay; three daughters: Mrs. Joe
(Lorraine) Haas and Mrs. Richard (Esther) Uschold of Milwaukee and Mrs. George
(Irene) Schecklman of Chili; 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Dennis Gaulke, Gregory Gaulke, Patrick Gaulke, Richard Reder,
Randy Uschold and Bradley Schecklman. Mrs. Harold Montag was the organist. Mrs.
Norman Faber and Mrs. Henry Grottke, Jr., sang.
