Mrs. William Kuester, Mrs. Leon Kuester and children, and Loretta Kuester, went
to Merrill Friday to visit their daughter and sister, Mrs. Douglas Luther.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Horn and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Braun visited Saturday at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Asselin in Thorp and at Morgan Plaza there with Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Bobb and Mrs. Delia Telford.
Mrs. Jake Speich, Mrs. George Vollrath, Mrs. Eleanor Plank, Mrs. Bertha Dallman
and Miss Violet Speich were guests Sunday of Mrs. James Metcalf.
Sunday afternoon and supper guests at the Hubert Horn home, were Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Foth of Medford.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Shomberg spent last week with Mrs. Clara Liebzeit, Mr. and
Mrs. Theodore Braun, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Noah and other relatives.
The Good Evening Social Club met Wednesday at the home of Miss Louise Keiner for
a 6:30 dinner. It was announced three birthday cakes were baked for residents at
the Clark County Home for the Aged since the last meeting. A discussion was held
on subjects of health and education. The next meeting will be held November 14
at the home of Mrs. John Kaltinger.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mortens and family came from West Allis to spend the
weekend with her mother, Mrs. John Lindner, and with his mother, Mrs. Charles
Shefchik in Loyal.
Those from St. Mary’s Catholic Church who attended the Clark-Jackson Deanery
meeting last Thursday evening at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen were: Mrs.
Mary Horvat, Mrs. Ronald Kitzhaber, Mrs. Raymond Gregorich, Mrs. Harlan Brux,
Mrs. Edward Bucheger, Mrs. Norman Mayenschien, the Rev. Leander Koopman and Mrs.
Francis Brey, the latter participated in the program.
The 57th birthday of Donald Kippenham was celebrated October 14 at the Clark
County Home for the Aged, where he resides.
Miss Denise Spangler of Watertown, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron,
is a patient at a hospital in Marshfield.
