Shortville (5 Sep 1918)

The R.C. sewers will meet this week Thursday with Mrs. C. Feutz.

Frank Short and family spent last week visiting his mother and relatives.

Mrs. John Southard spent a few days with her parents.

Mr. Kegley, Edith, Ray and Mrs. Olson returned from their trip to Vernon County Saturday.

Arthur Wilding has gone to Tripoli where he will work on the Will Winters’ new house.

The Ladies Aid will be postponed a week on account of the fair. They will meet with Mrs. Bell.

Mrs. Avery Wallace and daughter, Mildred, spent most of last week visiting Shortville friends.

Mrs. Will Stevens has been enjoying a visit with her sister and children of Ladysmith, also her niece, Mrs. Ewing, of Spokane, Wash. Mrs. Ewing will be remembered as Miss Etta Moe.

We are glad to have Mrs. Beach back in our town again. She will teach in Dist. No. 4.
