Larson, William (Drowning Death – 19 Sep 1918)
Racine – In making an attempt to come ashore while seas were sweeping Lake
Michigan one of the keepers, believed to be William Larson, was drowned when the
rowboat he was in was capsized. The coast guards made an effort to save the
man’s life, but when they reached the scene in their motor-driven life boat,
there was no trace of the man. The rowboat and a suit case were recovered.
