McInnis, Private John A. (Prisoner of War – 19 Sep 1918)

Eau Claire – Private John A. McInnis, son of Mr. and Mrs. James McInnis, this city, member of Co. E of Eau Claire, is the first Eau Claire man to be taken prisoner by the Germans. He was listed as missing in action June 17, but a letter from the War Department has just been received stating he was a prisoner at Camp Giesen, Germany.
