Miller, Capt. Charles J. (Military Promotion to Major – 26 Sep 1918)
La Crosse – Capt. Charles J. Miller, who has been in the Marine Corps ten years,
has been promoted to major. Mr. Miller entered the service after graduating from
the University of Wisconsin, where he made a record as an all-around athlete. He
is a son of F.L. Miller, chief clerk in the La Crosse Post Office.
