Willard (1 November 1973)

Vicky Vollrath fell last week at her home and tore the ligaments on her left leg.

Sister Margaret Ann of Baraboo and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Tolaney of Stevens Point visited John Tolaney at Memorial Home in Neillsville.

Miss Diane Klapatauskas of Cudahy spent From Sunday until Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klapatauskas.

Miss Mary Ellen Bayuk of La Cross spent several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bayuk, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Vallone, Tom and Lisa, of Milwaukee, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Klapatauskas and family.

Mrs. James Seliskar is a surgical patient in a Marshfield hospital.

John Gosar has been a patient in a Marshfield hospital since injuring his shoulder while at school.

The following are spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Lehto: Jack Karleizh, Bernard Gosh, Gary Muller and Fred Lehto, all of Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Tolaney of Stevens Point, and Bernard Huth of Norfolk, Va., called on Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tolaney, Jr., one day last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Pastel of Waukegan, Il., called Saturday on Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Sr. While in the area they are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Langfeldt in Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Schmidt of Loyal and Mrs. Ludwig Jordan went last week to St. Paul, Mn, to see their niece and granddaughter, who is a surgical patient there.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kirchenberg and son of Racine were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volovsek.

Betty Fraid of West Allis spent some time here last week with her mother, Mrs. Anna Volovsek, and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Huiras and Claire of St. Paul, Mn, visited with John Jelercic and Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Yurkovich and family.

Arthur Petkovsek, Howard Susa, Jim Barr, Clifford Rusk and Doc Meinholdt have returned home from a hunting trip to Wyoming.

Mrs. Ron Volovsek and Kayra, and Mrs. Frank Govek, visited in Eau Claire Monday with Carol Govek. They had lunch together.

Joseph Yeray of Sheboygan and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yeray of Whitefish Bay, spent from Sunday until Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Volovsek and Heather of Milwaukee were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Volovsek and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kaltz of Hinckley, Il., and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kaltz of Hixton were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock.

The card party last Sunday held at the parish center was in charge of Ronald Volovsek and Frank Pekol, Jr., as committeemen. Fourteen tables were played. Mrs. John Verschay won the door prize, while Mrs. Janice Pekol won the raffle prize. A prize was also won by each table. After the games a lunch was served by the St. Catherine’s group.

Miss Debra Craig, Terry Lindner and Dennis Lindner attended the FFA convention as delegates of the Greenwood chapter at Kansas City, Mo., and are back now. They were joined by a group from the North-eastern part of Wisconsin. They boarded a plane at Green Bay airport. Ron Hendrickson accompanied them.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Knudson of Chicago, Il., were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Knudsen and family.

Last Sunday a get-together picnic was held at Greenwood Park. The following were present: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Langfeldt of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Art Peterson and Margie, Owen; Robert Oristian, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Celesnik and Mary Ann, Cadott; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Pastel, Waukegan, Il.; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Jr., and family.

Mr. and Mrs. John Verhunce left last Saturday for Milwaukee and Joliet, Il., to visit relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Merlak of Round lake, Il., were here to visit relatives and friends last week.

Leo Stanley was dismissed last Tuesday from a Marshfield hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Meinholdt were weekend guests at Barneveld and returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Severson of Prescott visited here last week with relatives and friends.
