Struensee, Carol Ann (Marriage - 20 October 1973)
Miss Carol Anne Struensee became the bride of Vernie Robert Sparks in an
afternoon ceremony performed October 20 at the United Church of Christ by the
Rev. Gary Clark. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Struensee, Rt. 1
Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Royce Sparks, Cazenovia. The bride was presented
in marriage by her father.
A bouquet of red and white miniature roses accented the white satin of the
A-line bridal gown styled with a sheer floral overlay, pearl-trimmed neckline
and gathered sleeves. The gown was fashioned by Mrs. Schiltz.
Mrs. Alice Zelasko, Northfield, Il., was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were
Miss Nancy Struensee and Mrs. Doris Slyfield, Milwaukee. Their patterned A-line
gowns in shades of blue, purple, white, green and black featured a ruffled
hemline. They carried arrangements of blue cornflowers with mums.
William Sparks served as bestman. Groomsmen were Floyd Struensee and Richard
Slyfield, Milwaukee. Stan Rockweiler and Darrell Struensee acted as ushers.
A reception was held at the Silver Dome Supper Club.
The new Mrs. Sparks, a graduate of Neillsville High School and of Patricia
Stevens Career College is employed by United Community services. Her husband
graduated from Weston High School at Cazenovia and is employed as a machinist.
The newlyweds are living at 6633 West Mt. Vernon, Milwaukee, following their
return from a wedding trip to Tennessee.
