Palmer. Harvey (? - 26 October 1973)
A Greenwood native and former Town of York resident, Harvey Palmer, 72, of
Portland, Or., died October 26, in a nursing home there. Services were to be
held early this week in Portland.
Mr. Palmer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry (Anna) Palmer, was born in Greenwood
and received his education there, graduating from Greenwood High School. Later,
the family moved to a farm in the Town of York. Following his marriage to the
former Leda Filitz, he and his wife farmed in the Town of York until 1936, when
they moved to Portland. There, he worked as a carpenter-contractor.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two children, Mrs. Wanda Wilie and
Gordon Palmer, both of Portland; two sisters, Dorothy of Portland and Lula of
Omro; one brother, Jim Palmer of Portland; and five grandchildren.
