Rabska, Mr./Mrs. Richard (Gold - 22 MAR 1966)

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rabska, a Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) couple, who have farmed in this community since their marriage 50 years ago, were honored at an anniversary service last Sunday.

The memorable event, shared by many of their friends and relatives of long standing, was held at St. John's Lutheran Church at Withee. An anniversary service was held at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. LeRoy Urman officiating.

Later the couple received members of their family and close friends at a dinner, and then welcomed some 200 guests at an open house held in the church parlors from two to four o'clock.

Fifty years ago March 22, 1916, they were united in marriage in a ceremony performed in Withee. Rev. Schwertfeger was the officiating clergyman. Two other members of the bridal party shared the joys of a golden wedding anniversary with the Rabskas Sunday, as Harry and Clara Baehr were present.

The honored couple wore a corsage and boutonniere of chrysanthemums and were the recipient of a money tree from their children.

Guests came from Rice Lake, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Chicago, South Milwaukee, Madison, Hales Corners, Mosinee, Edgar, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Loyal, Greenwood, Thorp, Owen and Withee.
