Bublitz, Amelia (1869? – 20 APR 1966)
Mrs. Frank (Amelia) Bublitz, 96, died in her sleep at her home at 2365 North
Richards St., Milwaukee, Wednesday, April 20, 1966.
Mrs. Bublitz lived in the Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) area, in the town of Hoard,
for many eyars, as well as in the village for some time after their retirement
from the farm. She was a charter member of St. Paul's German Lutheran Church and
the St. Paul's Ladies Aid at Curtiss. They moved from Curtiss to Abbotsford,
where they lived for several years before moving to Milwaukee where her husband
preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by four sons and two daughters. One son, Albert,
passed away just a few days ahead of her – April 1.
She is survived by a son, Otto Bublitz of Owen, and a daughter, Dahlea, of
Milwaukee; 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Milwaukee on
Saturday, April 23, with burial being made in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Among those
from here attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bublitz and Mr. and
Mrs. Harold House of Abbotsford, and seven grandchildren.
