Hintzman, Dixie Lee (30 APR 1966)
At an 11:30 a.m. nuptial mass Miss Dixie Lee Hintzman became the bride of Roger
J. Lesneski in a double ring ceremony performed by Fr. Charles Blecha at the
Catholic Church of St. Joseph in Menomonie, Saturday, April 20, 1966.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Hintzman of rt 6, Menomonie,
and is employed in Madison. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lesneski
of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and is employed in Madison.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar in a peau di
soie gown fashioned with long tapered sleeves, bateau neckline and controlled
bell skirt with chapel sweep. Accenting the waist was Alencon lace embroidered
with pearls and crystals. A wedding cake crown of Alencon with English silk
illusion veil completed her ensemble. She carried a cascade of white pompons and
red roses.
Mrs. Larry Dallman of Greenwood attended the bride as matron of honor, and Mrs.
Arlyn Mills, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid. They wore identical
scooped neck dresses of blue brocade, featuring a three gore skirt with a fitted
bodice, and three quarter length sleeves. Their waist featured a contoured
cummerbund with a matching circular headpiece and veil. They carried white and
blue carnation bouquets.
Attending the groom as best man was Larry Dallman of Greenwood, and groomsman
was Arlyn Mills of Chippewa Falls. Serving as ushers were the brothers of the
bride, Lonnie and Lynn Hintzman of Menomonie.
Following the wedding a dinner was held at the Fish and Game Club. Their
honeymoon was spent in northern Michigan.
Two miscellaneous showers were given the bride, one in Withee with hostesses,
Mrs. Nora Sveum and Mrs. Arlyn Mills. The other was held in Menomonie, given by
Mrs. Francis Fruit, Mrs. Lillian House, Mrs. Marilyn Fruit and Mrs. Fayerweather.
The bride is a 1962 graduate of Boyceville High and is now employed by the State
Board of Health in Madison. The groom graduated frofm the Owen-Withee High
School in 1961 and is presently attending Madison Business College, with
graduation in August. He is also employed by Sub Zero Freezer Company in
Madison.
The newlyweds will reside at 515 W. Wilson, Madison.
