Brekke, Bonnie Ann (Marriage - 27 October 1973)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church was the setting Saturday, October 27, at 2 p.m. for
the wedding of Miss Bonnie Ann Brekke and David Wayne Bieneck. Vows were
repeated before the Rev. Charles C. Brady. An afternoon reception and an evening
dance were held at Bali Hai Supper Club.
The bride presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs.
E. H. Brekke of Neillsville. Mr and Mrs. Paul Bieneck, Rt. 3 Neillsville, are
the groom’s parents.
A gown of ivory delustered satin complimented by a high neckline of Chantilly
lace and styled with an empire bodice, Renaissance sleeves and lace-bonded
circular skirt was chosen by the former Miss Brekke. Her chapel-length mantilla
was also edged with lace. Ivory roses and baby’s breath formed the bridal
bouquet.
Baskets of autumn-colored mums and baby’s breath contrasted with the green satin
of the attendants’ gowns, fashioned with empire waist-lines and long,
renaissance sleeves. Ivory lace trimmed the neckline and sleeve edges and formed
square neckline insertions.
Bridal attendants included Miss Debbie Brekke as maid of honor and Miss Janice
Miller and Mrs. Roy Bieneck as bridesmaids. Miss Jane Lee Brekke was the flower
girl.
The groom was attended by Jim Konkel as bestman and by Roy Bieneck and Duane
Bieneck as groomsmen. Bill Brekke and Laurence Ehlers, Dorchester, shared
ushering duties.
The bride was honored at a prenuptial luncheon shower given by Mrs. Moritz
Grasamke and Mrs. Edwin C. Yach at the Hotel Whiting, Stevens Point. Mrs.
Clifford Zukowski, Mrs. Peter Rinka, and Miss Debbie Brekke were hostesses for a
luncheon shower at the Hotel Charles in Marshfield.
Both graduates of Neillsville High School, the bride is employed in the county
zoning department and her husband is an employee of a Greenwood firm. They will
live in Neillsville upon their return from a wedding trip to St. Paul, Mn.
