Bonsall, Kay R. (30 APR 1963 - 26 MAY 2015)

Kay R. Bonsall, age 52, of Naperville, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, after a six year battle with cancer.

Kay was born in Beloit on April 30 1963. She and her family moved to Edgar in 1970 and she graduated from Edgar High School in 1982, where she had been on the volleyball and basketball teams. Kay continued her education at Patricia Stevens Finishing School in Milwaukee, graduating in 1982.

She worked as the office manager for Hayden and Company in Darien, IL for over 20 years. She enjoyed vacations with her family, gardening, and hosting Oscar night parties for her friends every year. She was actively involved in service projects at Cross Winds Church in Warrenville, IL and Springbrook Community Church in Plainfield, IL.

Kay was married to Church Rohlfs on August 31, 2013.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Rolfs; her father, Bill (Ann) Bonsall; her mother, Nancy Bonsall; one sister, Kim Imhoff; two brothers, Robert (Shelly) Bonsall and Bill ‘BJ’ Bonsall; two nieces, Marissa (Curtis) Faber and Hannah (Jason) Hintz; two nephews, Jansen Imhoff and Race Bonsall. She is further survived by a special cousin and friend, Randi Pogorelski; along with many other friends and family members.

A private memorial service celebrating Kay’s life will be held at a later date at St. John’s Lutheran Church ELCA with Pastor Gail Sowell presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church ELCA, W1000 County Road N, Edgar.
