Kuzjak, Joyce (11 October 1941 - 14 May 2015)
Joyce Kuzjak, age 73, passed away peacefully at house of the Dove, Marshfield,
on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Joyce a faithful Christian woman is now in heaven
with her Lord and Savior.
She was born on October 11, 1941, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late
Frederick and Lucille (Kelling) Wagner. She moved with her family to Neillsville
in 1950. Joyce graduated from Neillsville High School in 1959. On June 9, 1962
she married Valentin Kuzjak in Neillsville. The family moved to Marshfield in
1966. Joyce was a wife, mother, and grandma first. She worked at Figi’s
part-time for over 45 years in data entry to be able to give to the people that
she loved. In 1990’s she worked at Fleming Company in the Accounts Payable
Department. She was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was
active with the choir, worship committee, vacation Bible school and altar guild.
She enjoyed reading, camping, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Valentin Kuzjak; five children: Kathleen M.
(Mark) Goessl, Kenosha, WI, Michael (Jennifer) Kuzjak, Charlottesville, VA,
Gregory Kuzjak, Jeffrey Kuzjak and Ryan Kuzjak all of Marshfield; nine
grandchildren and five brothers: Frederick Jr., Phillip, Richard, John and David
Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joanne.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Christ Lutheran
Church, 1208 W. 14th Street, Marshfield. Rev. Daryn Bahn will officiate. Burial
will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to
8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 E.
Veterans Parkway, Marshfield and again from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of
service at the church.
The family wishes to extend their gratefulness to the staff at St. Joseph
Hospital, Bethel Nursing Home and the House of the Dove for the care that was
given to Joyce over the last 8 months. She will be greatly missed by all who
knew and loved her.
