Neillsville (1 November 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Skyles Carothers and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Baker of Tucson, Az., spent a week with relatives and friends here and in Neillsville. On Sunday a family get-together was held at the Tony Karnitz home in Neillsville. Sixty-eight people were present. They also celebrated the birthday of Mrs. Emelia Mattausch, who will be 90 years old November 1. Those from away came from Alma, Blanchardville, Edgerton, Wausau, Black River Falls, Marshfield and Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rothenburger of Madison visited for several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rothenburger, with her mother, Mrs. Anna Hillert of Chili, and with his sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. John Karnitz of Wisconsin Rapids. Friday morning of that week, they took his parents to Madison to spend a few days there, and brought them home again Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Marie Keller spent Friday in Oshkosh at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pankau, and accompanied them to Milwaukee Saturday to attend the wedding of her granddaughter, Miss Lois Kipp, and Michael Melloch. Mrs. Keller returned home Monday with her grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. James Miller and daughter, Noello, Milwaukee.
