Willard (8 November 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Allen McFarlane were at Milwaukee last week to attend the wedding of her sister, Artis Christopherson.

The Slovenian Women’s Union of Willard held a social hour last Sunday at the parish center, where a large crowd attended. They played games and lunch was served. Door prize was won by Mrs. Edward pekol and the raffle prize went to Miss Mary Lesar.

Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock visited last week with their sons, Jack and Jim Scharenbrock in Chicago, Il.

Mrs. Christine Schmidt of Loyal is a patient at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

Mr and Mrs. Valentine Krainz have recently been to Milwaukee to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Allen Harbort, Jr., and family, also Mr. and Mrs. Allen Harbort, Sr., from Thursday till Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wolk of Neillsville were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tolaney, Jr., and family.

Mrs. James Seliskar has been dismissed from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hadzima, Chad Allen and Suellyn of Eau Claire and Mrs. Mary Brezic were Thursday night guests of Frank Lamovec and family.

Randy Klapatauskas, while working on a machine shed at his Dad’s farm received a fractured foot when the scaffold broke and he fell to the ground.

Chris and Ann Dunn of Eau Claire spent last weekend with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Debevec and family.

Mrs. Fritz Lehto was admitted last Sunday to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Mrs. Theresa Parkel of Greenwood is spending some time with her daughter-in-law and son, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel, Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gannon and children of Oconto were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Al Hemersbach, and later left for La Crosse, where they were accompanied by Mrs. Hal Harmsen of Marshfield on Friday and then returned back for a further visit with Mr. and Mrs. Al Hemersbach. They also visited with friends at Blair.

Mr. and Mrs. Phil McKibbee of McHenry, Il., are visiting friends here and staying at their summer cottage.

A card party was held last Sunday at the parish center. The committeeman was Francis Hansen. Arthur Petkovsek won the door prizes and raffle prize. A prize was also one by each table. A lunch was served after the games.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Volovsek and family of Hales Corners were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Pernic.

Bev Volovsek of North St. Paul, Mn, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kirchenberg and son of Racine were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volovsek.

Mrs. Ignatz Sladich left Saturday for Sheboygan to visit relatives.

Ernest Olson of Berwyn, Il., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pozega, Sr., and family, and with Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Olson and family in Fairchild.
