Nine young ladies in Clark County will vie for honors in the annual Miss Clark
Rural Electrification contest at Greenwood on June 14, 1966.
It is the date of the annual meeting at Greenwood High School of the Cark
Electric Cooperative. At this meeting the new Miss Clark Rural Electrification
will be selected.
The nine ladies are Lois Meinhardt, rt. 1, Owen; Shirley Sue Edwards and Judy
Ann Krause, both of Loyal; Kathryn Maki, Owen-Withee; Peggy Gardner, rt.1, and
Barbara Liebzeit, rt. 2, both of Greenwood; Bonnie Mechelke, Loyal; Catherine
Zielanis, rt. 1, Thorp; and Sandy Meissner of Chili.
The entrants will be judged by a panel of three judges. This year's Miss Clark

Dairyland finalist at Eau Claire this weekend.
A previous Miss Clark Rural Electrification, Miss Jane Ellen Loos of Colby,
became Miss Wisconsin Rural Electrification in 1965 and was a close runner-up in
the national held at Las Vegas.
