Giera, Janet (9 JAN 1919 – 26 MAY 1966)
Services were conducted Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church,
Withee, for Mrs. Richard Giera, route 2, Owen, who died of a cerebral tumor
Thursday, May 26, 1966 at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen. Rev. LeRoy Urman
officiated, and burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert and Frank Freidenfels, Arlie Thompson, James Larson, Ted
Petke and Art Erickson.
The former Janet Lusenski was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Milwaukee, and received her
education there. Her marriage to Richard Giera took place Nov. 13, 1943, in
Milwaukee. The couple made their home in Milwaukee until 1947, when they came to
the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) area.
In addition to her husband, survivors are two sons, Kurt of Milwaukee; David,
route 2, Owen; her mother, Mrs. A. Lusenski, Wauwatosa; four sisters, Mrs. Grace
Paychek, Mrs. Ruth Karpinski, Mrs. Mildred Lipski and Mrs. Bernice Napralls; and
two brothers, Donald and Roland Lusenski, all of Milwaukee.
Her father preceded her in death.
