The 88th birthday of Edwin Kuck was celebrated recently at the Clark County Home
for the Aged, where he resides.
Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck and Mrs. Elery Moberg were hostesses at the meeting of
the United Methodist Women recently at the Grace United Methodist Church.
The Jolly Homemakers Club met recently at the home of Mrs. Vernon Lust.
Mrs. Irvin Carl received work recently informing her that Arthur Ehrlich of
Milwaukee had died. The Ehrlich family was formerly residents of Neillsville and
visited here at the Carl home.
Mr. and Mrs. William Ammerman of Plymouth were recent visitors at the home of
Mrs. Olive Newman.
Mrs. Esther Curtis has returned to Merrill after spending a recent weekend at
the home of Mrs. Alice Perkins.
Mrs. Irvin Carl attended the funeral of her cousin, Mrs. Herbert Bardeleben in
Neillsville recently.
Mr and Mrs. Cyril Spangler of Watertown spent a recent weekend with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron and with their daughter, Denise, who is a patient in a
Marshfield hospital.
Mrs. Thomas Erickson visited her husband recently in the Marshfield hospital.
Mr and Mrs. Harold Dunn of Eau Claire visited recently at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie.
Miss Judith Brux of Antigo and Miss Monica Brux of Winnebago spent a recent
night with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux. Then they left to spend the
weekend with their sisters, Miss Janet Brux of Chicago and Mrs. John Horton and
family in Madison and also with Mr. and Mrs. Rich Ermilio in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Monte Haugland have returned to Sommerset after spending the
weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney were their son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilhelm, and children of Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron left recently to visit relatives and friends in
Madison, Bellville and Reeseville.
Recent supper guests of Mrs. Effie Swieso were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Thiede and
daughter, Roxanne and Mrs. Margaret Lowe of Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst visited recently at the home of her sister, Mrs.
Joyce Luther, in Eau Claire.
