Berg, Ethel (5 October 1891 - 6 November 1973)
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in
Granton for Mrs. Ethel Berg, 82, a native of Granton who died November 6 in a
Marshfield hospital. The Rev. Lloyd T. McCormick of Chili was in charge. Burial
was in Windfall Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Durward Schwarze, Emil Tykac, Manford Cain, Erwin Farnsworth,
Ray Keuer and John Hammond. Mrs. Roger Helm sang, “Have Thine Own Way.” She was
accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Lee Garbisch.
Mrs. Berg the former Ethel Finnegan, was born October 5, 1891. Prior to her
marriage March 15, 1911, to Hugh Berg in Granton, she taught schools in the
area. Her husband died October 26, 1958.
Mrs. Berg was a member of the Granton Methodist Church and of the Royal
Neighbors of America.
Surviving are two nephews, Donald Finnegan of Indianapolis, Ind., and Howard
Finnegan of Minnetonka, Mn; and a cousin, Mrs. Elmer Kapfer of Granton.
