Rossman, Elmer H. (3 JUN 1891 – 6 JUN 1966)
Elmer H. Rossman, 75, rt. 5, Marshfield, died at 3 p.m. Monday, June 6, 1966 at
St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been a patient since June 4.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Marshfield, with Rev. Thomas Garthwaite officiating. Burial will be made in St.
Mary's Cemetery at Greenwood.
Mr. Rossman was born June 3, 1891, at Fifield, and received his education in the
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) schools. His marriage to Mabel Sherman, who preceded
him in death Aug. 13, 1960, took place April 21, 1931, at St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Greenwood.
The couple lived and farmed in the Greenwood and Loyal areas until 1944, when
they moved to Owen, where Mr. Rossman had been employed until his retirement in
1957. Since 1960 they had made their home with their son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Guden Jr., rt. 5, Marshfield.
Mr. Rossman was a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Catholic
Church..
Pallbearers were Leonard Drexler, Walter Remitz, Merwin Blanchard, Duane Guden,
Ed Kokaly and Frank Cieslik.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Annette) Guden Jr., rt. 5; a sister, Mrs.
Paris Rand, El Dorado; a brother, Paul Rossman, Withee; and six grandchildren.
A brother preceded him in death.
