Technical Sgt. Charles S. Ridpath, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ridpath of route
1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), has been awarded the U.S. Air Force commendation
medal at Mactan Isle airfield, Philippines.
Sgt. Ridpath received the medal for meritorious service as a jet engine
technical at Charleston A.F., S.S. He was cited for his outstanding skill,
knowledge and job proficiency.
The sergeant, now assigned at Mactan Isle, is a member of the Military Airlift
command, which provides global airlift for the nation's military forces.
Sgt. Ridpath is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and his wife is the former
Lucille Regan.
