Miss Sandy Meissner, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Meissner, rt. 1, Chili (Clark Co., Wis.), was chosen Miss Clark Rural Electrification during the annual membership meeting of the Clark Electric Cooperative at Greenwood High School June 14, 1966.

Sandy, who will be a senior at Marshfield High School in the fall, will served as the official hostess for Clark Electric Cooperative. She will compete for the state title of Miss Wisconsin Rural Electrification in Madison next March. She succeeds Miss Mary Ann Wojtkiewicz of rural Thorp.

Others in the contest were Shirley Sue Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Edwards; Kathryn Maki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Maki; Peggy Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Gardner; Barbara Liebzeit, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Liebzeit; Bonnie Mechelke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Mechelke; Catherine Zielanis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Zielanis; and Nancy Hess, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hess.

Miss Jane Ellen Loos of rural Colby, who completed her reign as Miss Wisconsin Rural Electrification last March, was presented with a college scholarship from General Electric Company for being named second runner-up at the national Miss Rural Electrification contest in Las Vegas last February.
