Switalski, Sigmund J. (1897? – 18 JUL 1966)
Sigmund J. Switalski, 69, of Madison, died Monday, July 18, 1966 in a Madison
hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), lived in Owen from 1905 to 1917, and was
a resident of Madison for the past 30 years. He attended Beloit College, was a
veteran of World War I and was an engineer for the Northwestern railroad until
his retirement in March of this year.
Surviving are his widow, the former Adelaide Schultz; three brothers, Joseph of
Madison, Albert B. of Brooklyn, and T.V. Switalski of Adams; five sisters, Wanda
Weaver of Los Angeles, Calif., Katherine Bentley, Hedwig Corban and Irene
McCarthy, Chicago, and Stella Frohriep of Sturgis, Mich.
He was buried with full military honors in Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison, from
St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
