The Tuesday afternoon 500 club met at the home of Mrs. Leota Murphy.
Members of the Suffragett Club were to be entrained at the home of Mrs. Wilbur
Stewart Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sowieja have returned from a 10-day trip to the east coast.
They visited their son, Pvt. David Sowieja, who is stationed at Fort Devens,
Mass., near Boston.
The Neighborhood Canasta Club had a supper meeting Friday evening at the home of
Mrs. Rose Ludwig.
Mrs. Don Warren spent Wednesday and Thursday in Chetek with her son, Harold
(Dick) Warner and family.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Kavanaugh were Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd
Losquist of Minneapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux left Friday for New Orleans and from there they will
take a bus trip through the southern states.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron returned Tuesday after visiting relatives and
friends in Madison, Bellville and Reedsburg.
The Bible study group will meet this (Thursday) morning at the home of Mrs.
Doris Armitage in Christie.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart spent the weekend with relatives in Plainfield and
Madison. While in Madison, they attended the “Holiday on Ice”.
Ladies Aid of the Trinity Lutheran Church will meet in the church basement at
1:30 p.m. today (Thursday). The hostess will be Mrs. Irvin Carl.
Mrs. Ernest Belter of Wisconsin Rapids is spending a few days at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Bruce Sautebin.
Truman Hill spent Wednesday and Thursday in Mellon with his cousin, William
Bruns.
Mr. and Mrs. James Rust entertained at a supper Monday evening at their home in
honor of the second birthday of their daughter, Kristian Kay. Guests were the
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rust of Greenwood, and Mrs. Theone
Frederickson of Owen. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Faber and Kim, Mr.
and Mrs. Rodney Frederickson and children of Stanley and Mr. and Mrs. Randy
Frederickson and children of Owen.
The Youth Fellowship met Sunday evening in the schoolhouse at the Immanuel
United Church of Christ. Hostesses were Mrs. Delmain Toburen and Mrs. Donald
Noeldner.
