Fire Friday completely destroyed the John Reedy family home west of Thorp at
Eidsvold (Clark Co., Wis.).
The frame house was burned to the ground and its contents except for a
television set, according to reports.
Reedy discovered the fire when he returned home from work at about 11:30 a.m.
The rural Thorp Fire Department responded to the call.
The Reedy's four boys were at school at the time and Mrs. Reedy also was working
in Stanley, where she operates a lunch room. The boys are aged 8, 9, 14 and 16.
The family has been given quarters in an apartment in Stanley by Claire Snyder.
