Mr. and Mrs. John Korenchan, Jr., of Chicago, Il., and Mrs. Kathy Popovich were
guests last Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz and visited other relatives
and friends in the Willard area.
Mr. and Mrs. John Gatz called on Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ulesich one day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Meinholdt of Milwaukee spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Meinholdt.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klapatauskas visited last weekend in Davenport, Ia., with
relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Klapatauskas and son and Miss Diane Klapatauskas of St. Francis
were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klapatauskas.
Ronald Volk of Pittsville spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy
Volk.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Volk and family of Franksville were recent guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Rudy Volk and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pekol, Sr.
Thursday, Miss Sarah Craig gave a report of her trip to Washington, D.C., and of
her trip to Madison during 4-H club week to the Lucky Corners 4-H club.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Volovsek and family of Hales Corners spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. John Pernic, Sr.
Bernard Lesar of Bletchley Bucks, England, is spending some time with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lesar, and family and with other relatives.
Two lucky hunters in this area who got their buck deer early Satruday morning
were Luke Yurkovich and Leslie Backus.
Robert Pernic, David and Debbie, of Williams Bay, spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Ken Horn, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Jr., and family.
John Bayuk of Port Washington, and Dick Bayuk and Joe Miller of Collegeville, Mn,
spent some time here with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk and family.
Larry Stremikis of San Francisco, Ca, spent a week with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Jerome Stremikis, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Stremikis, Jr., and family.
Miss Bernie Stremikis of Madison plans to spend the Thanksgiving recess with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Stremikis, Sr.
Charles Krapf, Jr., Hales Corners spent some time with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Krapf, Sr.
Jerry, Donald, Wilbert and Floyd Severson, and Peter Riechert, all of Prescott,
were here with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Backus and Mrs. Eva Severson and Mrs. Eloda
Severson and family over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Duane Sessions and family of Marathon were weekend guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Pozega, Sr. and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Olson, Berwyn, Il., and their daughters and sons, attended
the funeral of Mrs. Ernest Olson’s uncle in Hixon Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney, Jr., have returned from Racine, East Troy and
Milwaukee, where they visited relatives for about three days. On the way back
they visited at the House on the Rock at Spring Green.
Those people who attended the dance in Chicago, Il, were mostly the Willard
people from Chicago land, and included: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bayuk and Mary
Kokaly from Willard; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tolaney, Sr., Greenwood; Mrs. Victor
Klarich of Peoria, Il.; and Mr. and Mrs. John Panyan of Duluth, Mn.
Eugene Janezich and son of Bremer, Ind., spent some time with Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Janezich and family.
The card party last Sunday at the parish center was in charge of Edward Bayuk
and Edward Perko. The door and raffle prizes were awarded to John Scharenbrock.
A prize also was won by each table. After the games a lunch was served.
Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock visited Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Jordon one day last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock visited last Wednesday with Mr and Mrs. Orlin
Schwarze.
John Scharenbrock attended the Rod and Gun club meeting last week at Rock Dam
and won a turkey.
Bruce, Richard and Karl and Dannie Randle of Kenosha spent some time last week
with Mr and Mrs. Frank Pekol, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenko of Sheboygan were visiting friends here.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pekol, Jr., and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hagen and
Peggy of Neillsville, were dinner guests last Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Pekol, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Matkovich and John Matkovich were dinner guests Sunday of Mr.
and Mrs. Nick Matkovich in Owen.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Jordon and family of Minneapolis, Mn. visited Mr. and Mrs.
Ludwig Jordon.
Henry Lamovec, Jr., of Eau Claire, and Allen Lamovec of Bloomington, Mn., spent
the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamovec, Sr. also present was
James Anderson of Eau Claire.
A party was held Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Reuter, the occasion
being the birthday of their son, Scott. Present were his sisters and brothers,
along with Paul Susa, Todd Seliskar and David Neilsen. The birthday cake was
made by his mother. Games were played and a lunch was served.
Mrs. Ella Reuter of Marengo, Il., and Mrs. Jack Kerlin of Love Park, Il., and
Jack and William, spent two days with Mr and Mrs. Wayne Reuter and family.
