Grace Violet Schier, 82, of Marshfield passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2015, in
her loving husband’s arms. She has now reached her heavenly home.
Grace was born Jan. 13, 1933, in the Town of York, Clark County, the daughter of
Fred and Emma (Kupke) Scholz. She attended Romadka State Graded School and

schools, three years at Maple Grade School in the Town of Lynn and one year in
the Town of Herman, Dodge County, and then married and began a family. She later

Hewitt and then 29 years in Marshfield. She then did substitute teaching at St.
John’s and Our Lady of Peace until a stroke following a car accident stopped her
teaching in January of 12012. She made every child feel special and truly loved
teaching the young ones, especially about Jesus.
She was married to LaVern E. Schier June 16, 1956, at Zion Lutheran Church,
Granton. They were married 59 years. After their retirement, the Schier’s

Canada and Mexico. They loved to dance and attend Polka festivals all over the
United States.
She is survived by her husband, LaVern “Bud”, their children: Randolph (Trudy)
Schier of Granton and Sherri Schier of Tomahawk; and three grandchildren, Luke,
Jenna and Ezra (fiancée Jessica Tyler) Schier. She is further survived by a
