Brandt, Carl T. (6 SEP 1895 – 15 MAR 1968)
Carl Theodore Brandt, 72, died Friday afternoon on his farm at rt. 3, Stanley,
Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Sept. 6, 1895, in Germany and came to Nebraska as a small child. He
served with the Army in France during World War I, and on June 22, 1926 he
married Bethelva Gibbs. After their marriage they farmed in the Town of Worden.
He served as town assessor, fire Worden, and was active with the Worden
Telephone Co., the Stanley Cooperative Shipping Association, and was on the
board of directors of the Farmers' Cooperative at Thorp for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lyle, Stanley, and Roy,
Minneapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce Kline, Minneapolis and Mrs. Dennis Mock,
Fredericksburg, Va.; four brothers, Art and Dick, Stanley, Arthur, Chester,
Penn.; and Edgar, Marydel, Md.; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Faith Evangelical Free
Church, with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery,
Stanley.
