Burzynski, Walter (12 APR 1889 – 25 MAR 1968)
Walter Burzynski, 78, Rt. 2, Stanley, Town of Colburn, died at St. Joseph's
Hospital Monday morning.
He was born in Brown County, Wis. on April 12, 1889, and came to Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.) when he was 22. On Sept. 21, 1915 he married Hattie Kwatinski at
Lublin. They had resided in the Town of Colburn for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie; eight sons, Leo, New London; Walter and
Michael, Chicago; Edward, Monongahela, Penn.; Louis, Hyattsville, Md.; Frank,
Stanley, and Stanley J. and Marion, Thorp; four daughters, Mrs. Pawlak, Thorp;
Mrs. Alfred Steivang, Stanley; Mrs. Alvin Kroepfl, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Richard
Van Overmerin, Chicago; 47 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one sister,
Mrs. Henry Navarre, Milwaukee; and two brothers, Frank, Thorp, and John,
Stanley.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Mary's Polish
National Catholic Church at Lublin, with Father Mathew Buba officiating. Burial
will be in the parish cemetery.
