Humbird (22 November 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fitzmaurice of Cavour, S. D., brought his mother, Mrs. Geneva Fitzmaurice and sister. Mrs. Ed Holub of Hatfield, home from Rochester, Mn, Thursday, where they were with his father, who had undergone major surgery. He is gaining as well as can be expected. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Fitzmaurice returned Friday by way of Rochester to their home in Dakota.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Polege returned Friday evening from their visit in the Willis Johnson home in Appleton.

Mrs. Beatrice Stuve left Monday for Villa Park, Ca., where she will spend the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Connie Rajcic.

Lynn Dignin of Beloit is enjoying a few days of hunting and a visit with his mother, Mrs. Laura Dignin.

Gale Lightfoot is visiting his mother and brother, Jacob, here, and on his return to his home in Georgia, his mother, Mrs. Gladys Lightfoot, will accompany him to spend the winter months in the south.

Dale Austin and son, Cary of Beloit, are frequent callers in the home of Mrs. Laura Dignin, while hunting in this area.

Dinner guests Sunday at the Than Joos home in rural Alma Center were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gerred and Kim of Janesville, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Joos and family of Monroe and Maude Newton of Humbird.

Tuesday evening the local Rebekah Lodge had as their guest Mrs. Mills, Assembly Vice President of the Rebekah Assembly of Wisconsin.

Many of the homes have deer hanging in the yard. The tally is climbing.
