Hardin, Hattie (12 June 1895 - 15 November 1973)
Funeral services were held Monday from the Niemann and Sons Funeral Home,
Milwaukee, for Mrs. Edgar (Hattie) Hardin, 78, of Rt. 1 Neillsville, who died
November 15. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Milwaukee. The Georgas
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements here.
Born June 12, 1895, in Lowell to John and Minnie (Haaze) Wendt, Mrs. Hardin was
educated at Lowell and worked on her parents’ farm as a young woman. Following
her marriage to Edgar Hardin, which took place May 23, 1932, in Milwaukee, she
lived in the South 13 years before returning to Wisconsin for reasons of health.
She was employed in a shoe factory for several years and came to Clark County in
1970. Mrs. Hardin had been confined to her home for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Mrs. Frank
(Minnie) Romano of Rt. 1 Neillsville, Mrs. Wiley (Helen) Thompson of Milwaukee
and E. Donald Hardin of Springfield, Va.; one brother, Alvin Wendt of Portland,
Tn.; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
