Barkley, Edwin (1899? - 17 November 1973)
Word was received Saturday of the death of one of our former residents, Edwin
Barkley, 74, of Eau Claire. Edwin, a hometown boy, spent his early life here and
received his education in the local public school.
He was married to the former Sybil Tubbs, who died several years ago. They have
a son, residing in Milwaukee.
Mr. Barkley remarried and his other survivors are his wife, Olive; two sisters,
Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Moore in Arizona and Mrs. Richard (Fern) Rosalock of Eau
Claire; and two brothers: George of Black River Falls and Melvin (Penny) of
Waupun.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Eau Claire. Burial was
made in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.
