Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pagel of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pagel of Thorp
visited Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bohn on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Elzinga and son James of Worth, Ill., spent the weekend
with her mother, Mrs. Estelle Zukowski.
Mrs. Estelle Zukowski, Mrs. Mary Moczarny, and Mrs. Anna Meske attended the
funeral of Rev. William John Olszowski at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in
Weyerhaeuser, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bohn visited at the Ray Kaz home near Owen on Friday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zukowski and family visited at the Estelle Zukowski home
Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Clay Ebben and daughters, Diana and Kathy, sons, Bobby and Billy,
Mr. and Mrs. Rich Boie, Mrs. Clara Ebben of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ebben and
son Tommy and daughter Anna Marie of Mayville attended the First Holy Communion
of Jill Sneen at the St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire on Thursday.
Mrs. Louie Szymanski and Mrs. Anna Meske spent Sunday afternoon with Kate Lato.
Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Benzschawel spent Tuesday evening with the Bernard Benzschawel
family at Boyd.
Those that visited at the Edmund Cook residence during the week were Mrs. Hazel
Huls of Thorp, Mrs. Jeff Frazer of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Graham and two
grandchildren of Holman, Mr. and Mr.s Bernie Rusch, Mrs. Larry Hampton, Sam
Beary and Bud Cook.
Mr. and Mrs. Nels Thompson of Hammond, Wis. were supper guests at the home of
Miss Luverne Fenstermacher.
Mrs. Estelle Zukowski visited with Mrs. Verna Slupski at Stanley Sunday
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Benzschawel of Boyd accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Jos.
Benzschawel to Jim Falls on Friday evening. They were visitors at the Larry
Bradley home.
Mrs. Wally Koslo and family from Germantown spent last week at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Papierniak.
Mrs. Josephine Waligarski, Mrs. Mary Kornesczuk and Mrs. Victoria Wilcenski of
Gilman called on Mrs. Clara Ebben on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jess Winkler of Cadott, Wis., visited the Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cook
residence this past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Johnson of Stanley were guests at the home of Miss Luverne
Fenstermacher on Sunday.
Mrs. Anna Meske and Mrs. Louis Szymanski visited at the Mrs. Josephine Rogus and
Mrs. Kathryn Lato home Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Delton Ebben and son Gary visited Mr. and Mrs. Norm Seidling of Eau
Claire on Sunday.
Guests at the home of Mrs. Julia Jasinski last weekend were her children from
Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Swierkowski, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gulczynski,
Mrs. Verna Lazarz, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gulczynski and family. They also attended
the wedding of their niece, Janice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Florian Gulczynski
at Greenwood on Saturday.
Larry Herman was the Thorp winner of the twenty-five dollar Wis. State Telephone
Foundation Scholarship. This makes him eligible for the five hundred dollar
scholarship.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Wyczawski of St. Paul, Minn., visited Friday at the home of
Mr. And Mrs. Frank Wyczawski in Stanley, and also called on Mr. and Mrs. Val
Wyczawski.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Swierkowski, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gulczynski and Mrs. Verna
Lazar, all of Minneapolis, spent the weekend with their mother, Mrs. Julia
Jasinski, and also attended the wedding of a niece at Greenwood on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kaczor of Redville and granddaughter of Green Bay spent Sunday
evening with Mrs. Louis Kaczor and family.
Mr. Sig Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schreiber from eau Claire visited the
Rev. Robert Olson residence Sunday.
Miss Barb Wyczawski and Miss Dolores Wyczawski of St. Paul, spent the weekend at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Val Wyczawski.
