Burss, Albert Ryley (7 FEB 1878 – 22 APR 1968)

Albert Ryley Burss, better known as Ryle Burss, passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Stanley on April 22nd, 1968.

He was the son of Wm. And Rosalia Burss of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). He was born Feb. 7, 1878 in the town of Reseburg, having reached the age of 90 years. When a boy he attended the Pioneer School in the town of Worden. The greater part of his life was spent at Hannibal, where he operated a store, moving later to a farm north of Hannibal, which he operated till he retired.

He was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. Leaving to mourn his loss is one brother, Delbert Burss of Thorp, and one sister, Carrie Burss of Hannibal. His wife also preceded him in death two years ago.
