Kozial, Jacob (15 JUN 1885 – 17? MAY 1968)
Jacob Kozial, 82, of Sheldon, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital after a short
illness.
Funeral services were held at St. John's Catholic Church, Sheldon on Monday, May
20, 1968. Father Casimer Paul officiated at the eleven a.m. service, with burial
being made in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Kozial, a farmer, was born June 15, 1885 in Poland. He came to the states in
April 1905, living in Chicago, Ill. until 1919, then settled near Sheldon. On
Jan. 12, 1912 he was united in marriage to Apollonia Wojcik at Chicago.
Surviving, besides his wife, are four sons, Joe of Chicago, Frank and John of
Sheldon, Edward of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; six daughters, Anna Sterba of Sheldon,
Frances Wojtyna of Conrath, Helen Kopacz of Thorp, Nellie Kolar of Sheldon,
Jeanette Van Ert of Thorp, Victoria Bergemann of St. Paul; two brothers and one
sister in Poland; 27 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. One brother,
Stanley, preceded him in death 3 years ago.
