Grajkowski, Mary (8 MAY 1890 – 16 MAY 1968)
Mary Grajkowski, 78, passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley of old
age complications on Thursday, May 16th, 1968.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 20th at St. Hedwig’s Chapel, Thorp.
Father Ed Masalewicz officiated at the 10:00 a.m. service, with burial in the
parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were all grandsons of the deceased: Kenneth, Richard, James, Mathew,
George, Albert Grajkowski.
Mrs. Grajkowski was born in Joliet, Ill., May 8th, 1890. She came to Thorp as a
little girl. She and her husband have farmed around Thorp since their marriage
in 1908. Twelve years ago they moved to the city of Thorp.
Her husband and 1 son and a daughter, sister, brother and half-brother preceded
her in death.
Survivors are four sons, Raymond, Joseph, Victor of Thorp, and Leon of New
Berlin; 31 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and 4 half-brothers, Walter,
Stanley, Alex and Roman Garbarski.
