Haberland, Anna (26 DEC 1860 – 27 SEP 1918)
Mrs. Anna Haberland, beloved wife of Carl Haberland, died on Friday at their
home on the north side, after an illness of several months’ duration. She was
born Anna Zimmer at Saarbrucken, Germany, on Dec. 26, 1860. She came to this
country in1868 and on Aug. 11, 1887, was united in marriage to Carl Haberland.
They lived at Racine and Madison for nearly four years and then came to Clark
County, living on a farm for some time and then moving to this city where Mr.
Haberland took up his trade as a shoemaker. Their years of married life were
years of complete happiness and contentment, and an ideal union in every way,
for Mrs. Haberland was a cheerful, capable, and conscientious helpmate and
presided over her home in a manner which made it an especially happy one. She
was a thoroughly good woman and her friends and neighbors all loved and
respected her. Mrs. Haberland was buried on Monday afternoon, services being
conducted by Rev. Brandt, at the Lutheran Church and interment being made in the
Neillsville Cemetery.
