Just, Henry (Missing in Action – 3 AUG 1918)
On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Henry Just received a telegram from the War Department
stating that their youngest son, Henry, has been missing in action since Aug.
3rd, and it is assumed that he is now in a German prison camp. However, Mr. and
Mrs. Just are inclined to doubt the authenticity of the report, inasmuch as they
have received a letter from Henry as late as Sept. 12th. It is possible that he
was taken captive and rescued by the American forces. However, Mr., and Mrs.
Just are especially concerned now over the long silence of their oldest son,
Werner, from whom they have had no word or letters since in May, and it is very
possible that this son is the one who is missing. It is sincerely hoped that
both of the boys will turn up safe and sound before a great while.
