W.D. Dangers and Henry Lindsley were in the neighborhood of Thorp on Saturday
evening and Sunday and Walt is firmly convinced that he was but two jumps behind
the Kruegers when they arrived at the shanty which the two Neillsville boys were
preparing for the deer hunting season.
Robert Lee came home Sunday to spend a ten-day furlough with his mother and
sister. Robert was foreman of the Times office until last November when he
enlisted in the aviation corps. He was at Waco for several months and was placed
in the aviation corps band, which organization he has belonged to ever since. He
is now stationed near New York City and as the boys have been there for several
weeks, they are very much in hopes that their time to go across will soon be
here. Bob recently made a flight with a lieutenant and since that time he is
much enthused over the aviation department and has applied for admission to a
training school with the hopes of some day being a real flyer. He looks well,

life thoroughly agrees with him.
