Wm. Hagen went to Beloit on Monday to work.

Miss Beth Free came home from Humbird over Sunday.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Imig on Oct. 10th.

Frank Dux and wife of Loyal were Neillsville visitors Monday.

Miss Marie Wellers is here from Minneapolis for a short visit.

Miss Mabel Hanson of Spencer spent Sunday here with the Misses Cannon.

Mrs. F.O. Schultz went to Rochester on Monday to consult with the Drs. Mayo.

Miss Nan Lowe is home from Minneapolis to spend a Spanish influenza vacation.

Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Schuster autoed to Menomonie and spent a few days last week.

Glynn Stoffell came home on Saturday from Cambridge, Mass., to recuperate from his illness.

Miss Frieda Radke is home from Whitehall, her school having closed on account of influenza.

Mr. and Mrs. Nick Enders returned to their home at Beloit last week after a week’s visit here.

Win Harriman returned to Milwaukee Monday after spending a few days here with his parents.

Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Tuttle of Abbotsford visited with Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Olson a few days this week.

Miss Josie Bass is home from Madison owing to the schools closing on account of the influenza scare.

Wm. Buelow, who has been home for several days on sick leave, returned to Camp Grant on Monday.

Miss Mary Bradbury came from Sechlerville on Monday to spend a few days with her brother and his family.

Miss Edna Tragsdorf is home from La Crosse Normal for the enforced vacation occasioned by the school closing for a couple weeks.

Mrs. Augusta Schlinkert and sons, William, Theodore and Robert, and Mrs. Pagenkopf and John Pagenkopf went to Ft. Atkinson Monday to attend the funeral of a cousin. Mrs. Schlinkert and William went on the train, the others of the party making the trip by auto.

W.D. Dangers and Henry Lindsley were in the neighborhood of Thorp on Saturday evening and Sunday and Walt is firmly convinced that he was but two jumps behind the Kruegers when they arrived at the shanty which the two Neillsville boys were preparing for the deer hunting season.

Robert Lee came home Sunday to spend a ten-day furlough with his mother and sister. Robert was foreman of the Times office until last November when he enlisted in the aviation corps. He was at Waco for several months and was placed in the aviation corps band, which organization he has belonged to ever since. He is now stationed near New York City and as the boys have been there for several weeks, they are very much in hopes that their time to go across will soon be here. Bob recently made a flight with a lieutenant and since that time he is much enthused over the aviation department and has applied for admission to a training school with the hopes of some day being a real flyer. He looks well, has gained 35 lbs. since he left Neillsville and gives every evidence that army life thoroughly agrees with him.

Miss Effie Alt is home from Tony for the enforced vacation.

Fred and Dick Mead were here from Abbotsford this week on business.

Mrs. Alonzo Eveland of Duluth is here for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Schwentkofske.

Frank Lynch and wife came up from Darlington Monday on a business and pleasure trip.

Mr. and Mrs. Mulligan of Loyal spent Saturday here with Mrs. Ackerman, who is very sick, at her home west of town.

Miss Clarissa Hefferman, who teaches at Bernamwood, is here to spend her vacation with Prof. and Mrs. Henderson.

Carl Hauge was shot through the right arm on Saturday with a 22 rifle in the hands of a playmate, and is taking a vacation while his arm is healing up.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Glasow on Oct. 9th, a son to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wagner on Oct. 13th, and a son to Mr., and Mrs. Gerret Voss on Oct. 14th.

Al Warner, an inmate of the Marshfield County Asylum, escaped on Sunday and turned up here on Monday. He was apprehended and returned to the hospital.
